Our story
Twenty years on these shores.
Lakes Real Estate was founded in 2008 by brokers who grew up on the waters we serve. From the beginning we believed the boutique model — fewer clients, deeper attention — would, over time, do better work than the volume firms.
Two decades on, we still represent only a small number of properties at any one time. We still do our own showings, write our own copy, and pick up our own phones. And we still make our living almost entirely on the trust of clients we already know.
The lakes region is a place of quiet permanence. We have tried to build a firm that feels the same way.
